Yan Senez, born in 1979, is an artist, independent researcher, image technician, polymath, tinkerer, weekend coder, and stubbornly curious mind. Trained in physical sciences, he works outside academic affiliation, at the border between visual experimentation, computation, technical improvisation, and theoretical exploration.

As a teenager reading Mark A. Ludwig and thinking about the emergence of complex structures from simple rules, he became fascinated by the Ulam spiral: the image in which prime numbers reveal an unexpected geometric structure. PT grew from that intuition: prime numbers may be the simplest, and most demanding, system for testing whether an elementary constraint can produce persistent organization.

In 2025, that older thread met an analysis of noise and information alteration in an image, then grew into an 883-page English monograph and a 913-page French monograph. Details of the genesis are in the preface.
